2018 Holiday Guide – Six Under $100

I’ve never done a Holiday Guide but I’ve seen a ton of them lately so decided to do my own.. These are a few things I’ve either bought or things I know I’d LOVE 😉 Still looking for last minute holiday buys under $100? I’ve got you covered with a few that are currently HOT!

  1. Cooks 2.5L Air Fryer ($59.99) – I’ve never had an air fryer but have ALWAYS wanted one. A healthy way to fry my food?! YES, PLEASE! I’ve had many friends with them that say they’re incredible. Crunchy sweet potato fries, crispy wings, yummy chicken nuggets for the kids – EFFORTLESSLY. No hot oven on, no unhealthy deep frying just a bit of oil and air doing the job ;). This is something I’d LOVE to add to our healthy kitchen!
  2. North Pole Trading Co Chenille Reverse to Sherpa Throw ($39.99) – Super comfortable sherpa blanket. What more is there to say? I’m a blanket FIEND. Seriously, I’ve got a problem and this one is just screaming my name.. Anyone else?!
  3. Red Dead Redemption 2 ($59.98) – Y’all know me.. I’m a huge gamer and one game that I am desperate to play is RDR2.. It’s REALLY popular right now and it looks hilariously fun.. It’s so hard during the holiday season not to buy stuff for yourself but you just hope and pray it’s one of the gifts under the tree for you 😉 Have a gamer in your life? GET THEM THIS GAME. You may not see them for weeks but they’ll love you for life 😉
  4. Pouchee Avi Crossbody Handbag/Organizer Purse ($47.99) – My favorite purse of ALL time. I’ve gotten so many compliments on mine over the years. It’s a crossbody with a built in wallet. Leaves tons of room for whatever else you need. Very practical, very fashionable and super affordable!
  5. Portable Blender Smoothie Juicer USB Rechargeable ($39.99) – A portable blender that’s USB rechargeable.. The possibilities! When traveling you can plug it in your car and have a healthy smoothie to go. At work? Charge it with your computer and make a healthy smoothie in the office! (Try not to annoy your co-workers 😉 )
  6. Vacuum Sealer By NutriChef ($59.99) – We love to get meat on sale. How much easier would it make freezing with a vacuum sealer?! Found this one on Amazon and it’s WAY more affordable than I thought it would be.. May have to add this to my push gift request 😉

Six amazing ideas and all for under $100. Let me know if any of y’all get any of these for your family/friends and what their reactions were! Happy Holidays, y’all! ❥

My JORD Watch

Just wanted to let y’all know how MUCH I love the JORD Wood Watch I got for my Husband! It came in last week and I haven’t put it away yet.. It’s too gorgeous to look at and I’ve tried it on myself and contemplated whether I want it for me instead hahaha!

It came in a gorgeous real wood box and once opened it reveals the elegant yet professional (and manly if you’re giving it to your Hubby 😉 ) wooden watch. The details in the wood show how much love and care went into it’s creation. It even comes with oil to keep the wood from drying out!20171113_113816.jpg

Yes.. I will be giving it to my Husband for Christmas still because I’m not that selfish 😉 But it’s so beautifully made it definitely had me thinking for a bit.

I highly recommend it to anyone whose loved one, friends, or family love watches. You can engrave it and make it special or leave it as is and cherish the work of art you (or they) get to walk around with everyday.

I do believe I will be getting one for myself in the near future. I’m not a watch wearer but these have officially made me one 😉 Don’t forget about the simplykaraliz 25% off code for my readers! AND that I’m still hosting a giveaway for a chance to win $100 Store Credit – That’s almost the whole cost of a really great watch! Enter here!

Holidays on a Budget

We’ve all been through it – Where our budget is a little tighter, especially with the holidays quickly approaching! During these times it’s important to be mindful of spending and try to be as smart with your purchases as possible!

It’s easy to over spend when thinking of loved ones, Which is totally normal, by the way 😉 , but I’ve found some really easy ways to cut the costs without cutting the amazing gifts and decor!

  1. Buy gifts ahead of time (and hide them, of course) and have an excel sheet that keeps you organized! I start collecting gifts around June/July because we’ve got 3 November birthdays and Christmas quickly after!
  2. Get your decor and some gifts at the Dollar Store or at Target’s Dollar Section (I’m obsessed with this section…)
  3. Check on BSTF (Buy, Sell, Trade, Free) pages on Facebook! SO many people giving away their kids now unwanted toys at such discounted prices! (I’ve gotten most of my kids’ gifts from there!)
  4. Check Craigslist!! SO many people give away awesome free stuff and discounted toys/clothing for adults, kids, and pets!
  5. My newest found obsession… The Clearance area of Walmart! There are SO many brand new toys that can be up to 70% off!! Things my kids had seen on commercials that are no longer “hot toys” make for exciting gifts!
    • Also, check the clearance areas in kid’s clothing! There’s a ton of “out of season” clothes at extremely low prices! *Just make sure to buy a size or two up so they don’t out grow it by the next season! 😉 *

If you cannot tell I’m already SO excited for the holidays and already planning but these are great tips for planning WAY ahead of time or right before!

Happy Holidays y’all!

Ghoulish Halloween Dinner (For Kids!)

It’s almost Halloween!! Our kids are SO excited. They’ve nearly got their costumes by the front door hahaha! We’re excited for all of the plans we have starting today til Halloween! Pumpkin carvings, haunted houses, festivals, Boo at the Zoo, and ghoulish treats!

IMG_20171026_165821_242

For dinner tonight I decided to make the kids some delicious and hilarious looking goodies – Mummy Dogs and ghost bread! I preheated the oven to 350°F and grabbed a roll of Crescent Rolls, some cheddar cheese and a pack of Oscar Meyer Weiners!

Screenshot_20171026-172933.png

I opened the dough roll, laid it out flat and cut the dough into long strips to make it easier to wrap the dogs in their Mummy Wrappings (I placed the cheese over the weiner before wrapping it) Obviously they weren’t going to eat ALL the weiners so I used the leftover dough to make Ghost Bread (I didn’t have any Halloween cutters so I used a gingerbread man and joined together his legs hahaha!) and BRAINSS (Which was balled up leftover dough with red food coloring)!

I placed the pan in the oven and cooked for about 13-15 minutes! I kept a watchful eye on the ghost bread since they were a little thin (But they got SO fluffy! So they cooked ALL perfectly at the same amount of time!)

Once they were done I dotted eyes on the mummies and biscuits with ketchup and mustard and the kids DEVOURED them! I added a jack n’ cheese cup to their dinner for a cute Halloween extra 😉

The kids had some pumpkin honey on their brainssssss and ghost bread! It was sooooo yummy!

It’s little meals like this that really get the kids excited for Halloween AND helps them eat if they’re being picky hahaha!

Try it for your kids today, they’ll love them!!
